December 20, 2002 - Special Christmas Program - The Santa Monica Oceanaires are happy to come to our Club today with the   singing of Christmas music and a few other songs that will be in the spirit of the season. They have  been entertaining Southern California audiences for more than twenty-five years with their unique style of barbershop harmony. You don't want to miss this program!

Today is also our annual meeting to Elect our Officers and Directors.
December 13, 2002 - Leslie Dutton - Emmy Award Winner - Leslie  is the producer and host of the FULL DISCLOSURE public affairs television program which can be seen on 40 cable systems throughout Southern California.  Mrs. Dutton is married to our long time member Fred.  The title of her talk is "Has the Los Angeles Police Department been Politicized?" Captain Brian West thanks the Rotary Club. Funds from prior years were used to buy a coin counting machine.

 

 

December 7th, 2002 - Saturday

Immunization Clinic - St. John's Hospital. Actual clinic is from 10:00 AM to Noon.
     For Rotarians, the first shift starts at 9:00 AM as we have to do setup.  Rotarians are not expected to spend three hours at St. John's. We try and arrange for one hour shifts if we have enough volunteers.

October 4, 2002 - Richard Riordan - Former Mayor, Los Angeles.
    
In June of 1993, Riordan was elected to succeed long-term Mayor Tom Bradley to become the 39th mayor of Los Angeles. He assumed office on July 1, 1993.  On April 8, 1997, more than 60 percent of Los Angeles voters reelected him to a second term that concluded on June 30, 2001. Riordan is married to Nancy Daly Riordan and they have three daughters. Click Here for more
