New Member Party Sept 2002

New member Party

The Rotary new member party has become one of our most successful annual fall events. It brings newer Rotarians and their spouses together with the Board and committee members in a festive but informal setting. This year Tom Loo and his wife Stephanie graciously hosted the event again in their bluff-top Malibu home.

The spectacular vistas of ocean and coastline at sunset added a special dimension, as about fifty members and their guests dined festively under the stars on Sunday, September 22nd. A lively blind tasting and rating of chocolates following the dinner, with Belgian chocolate emerging the clearly preferred favorite.

The First Year Activities committee chaired by Judy Neveau planned the evening; Norma Baker, Shirley Dowling, Jim Dyer, and Lorraine Jossel were the creative and enthusiastic members of the committee without whom it would not have happened.
