Japanese Exchange Program 2004

Each year the Santa Monica Rotary Club participates in a Japanese Exchange Program with students who live in various cities in Japan. For the month of July, American students stay at the homes of various Japanese families, each for one week, who show them the sights. For the month of August, In turn, Japanese students come to visit Southern California, staying with American families who also introduce them to our culture. A farewell party for the visitors, host families and the young people who had participated in this program was held at the Malibu home of Tom and Stephanie Loo at the end of August. Gifts were presented to the Japanese students, many photos were taken and memories shared before the students returned home.
