Sam Lagana is the Associate Vice Chancellor of Pepperdine University, and Rams Stadium Announcer!

Sports & Entertainment and Educational Business 

The NFL returned to Los Angeles in 2016 and Sam Lagana was invited by the Los Angeles Rams to usher the team back into the nation's most iconic sports venue, as the Rams stadium announcer.  As a child, Sam, who serves Pepperdine University as Associate Vice Chancellor, enjoyed Rams football with family friends at the Coliseum. In this Santa Monica Rotary presentation, Mr. Lagana will share the experience of sports announcing the Rams games with 91,000 fans and discuss the landscape and impact of the sports and entertainment Industry in Los Angeles. 

BIO: Sam Lagana, Associate Vice Chancellor at Pepperdine, is a fundraising officer who promotes a healthy relationship with alumni, parents, friends and students to strengthen their interaction with the University.  Sam’s management experience includes administration, marketing, promotions, public relations, sponsorship, business development, fundraising, community relations, and television & radio contracts. In his career, Lagana has served as an executive at the historic Los Angeles Athletic Club, the Josephson Institute of Ethics, was a senior level Athletics Administrator at Cal State Dominguez Hills and Cal State Northridge and directed promotions & public relations for the AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour in its infancy. 
Mr. Lagana has received accommodations from the City of Los Angeles and the California State Senate and Assembly for community service.  Sam is active with the Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission, Westcoast Sports Associates, American Legion Squadron 283, and serves as Chairman of the John R. Wooden Award.  A long-standing member of The Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, and The Breakfast Club of Los Angeles, Lagana has served as an adjunct professor of marketing at Seaver College and is the founding advisor of the Pepperdine Sports Business Association.  In Summer 2016, Sam was invited to serve as the stadium voice of the Los Angeles Rams.
