A full complement of Rotarians participated in the Salvation Army "Red Kettle Day." The bell ringing took place all day on Friday, December 12, 2003. At least two different Rotarians volunteered for each of the hourly shifts. This is a community-wide event with active Rotarian participation. Captain Brian West of the Salvation Army is a Rotarian. An Event Co-Chairman Bob Gabriel is a Rotarian. The hosts of the counting party, PP Dick Lawrence & PP John McIntire, with Encino State Bank are Rotarians. Rotarians raised over $5,100 for the Salvation Army and a great time was had by all. Our Rotarian Chairman was Frank "Woof Woof" Lavac. A big thank you to all Rotarians who participated in the success of the event for this year.
