The Rotary Club of Santa Monica welcomed the holiday season with a fun-filled luncheon. The wonderful choir from Carlthorp School came to serenade the members. Dragana, a charming singer new to the area, sang holiday tunes in a beautiful voice that entranced her listeners. Of course, Santa came to collect gifts for the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Monica members. New officers for the next year were Tom Loo and Dave Rimer, vice presidents. Bob Klein, treasurer and Monika White, secretary. They will serve the incoming president Bill Crookston. Serving on the Board of Directors will be Jonathon Kemp, Bill Randle, Stan Fox, Susan Dawson, Jim Menzies, and Mike O'Hara. President-elect for the coming year is Dee Menzies, the Club's first woman nominee.
Plans are in progress for the Club's 80th birthday which will take place in February at the Casa Del Mar Hotel. A gala celebration with a '20s theme featuring entertainment and surprises is expected to be one of the highlights of the Club's year.
