New Member Fellowship Dinner

October 2007

Rotary Rockets 2007

The Club’s annual new member fellowship dinner on October 6, 2007 was a tremendous success in creating an informal setting for new members to meet other new members and the Club’s officers and Board Members. Over forty attendees, including new members and their spouse or guest, new member committee members, and District Governor David Moyers -- were introduced to Tom and Stephanie’s incredible Malibu hospitality.

The beautiful sunset view from the Loo's patio provided the backdrop for the outdoor barbeque and provided the perfect setting for our purpose of genuine fellowship. Through a fun exercise of “six degrees of separation”, extroverts and introverts left the enjoyable evening knowing more about their Rotary friends, their hosts and even about attendees District Governor David Moyers and his wife, Rita.  Skip Tisherman and Ryan Loo were successful in taking bets on the pool table while guests were enjoying a huge dessert spread indoors after sunset.

Playing the "six degrees" exercise,
everyone searches for what they have
in common with each other.  Of course, a little
wine enhances the enjoyment

There's always plenty of good food at
a Tom Loo party!

How many Rotarians does it take to
watch a BBQ?
A little surprise for Host Tom - Happy Birthday!
