5th Annual International Food Festival
Another World Class Event!
On Sunday afternoon April 22nd, 2007, at the Malibu home of Tom and Stephanie Loo, our Rotary Club of Santa Monica held its 5th International Food Festival. Overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean, more than 200 members, family and friends feasted on homemade dishes and beverages derived from 30 countries across the globe. (Thanks, Klaus Mennekes and Scott Knight for providing a great dish and wine, although both were out of town!)
Spirits were high, despite the overcast weather and short-lived rain shower, as evidenced by the satisfied looks on everyone's faces, as they ate to their hearts' content. Monika White provided the energetic ethnic music that set the tone for the afternoon. In addition, festival participants' children (and those who behaved like children) were treated to a Moonwalk and volleyball court.
